My name is Becky Battaglia Goodman. I have been married to my husband David, since November 1994. We meet in college at WOU. Due to financial hardships, I quit school and started working, I worked as a school bus driver for many years before deciding to be a daycare provider. I am the mother of two daughters, Mikayla & Monica Goodman. I started my childcare business in 2002, after I was having a difficult time finding quality and affordable childcare that opened early in the morning. My oldest daughter was two years old, and I made the decision to start a new adventure.
After a successful two years, our daycare was busting at the seems. We found our forever home on 212th off of Burnside. Over the years, we have remodeled it to be the perfect home business. We have 1000 SQ foot of daycare space on one side and almost 1000 SQ foot of home on the other side of the house.
I got my Child Development Associates Degree and my AAOT. I transferred to EOU to finish my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and Development. I graduated for EOU, in December 2013. It was a long journey to get my education. I am so proud of myself and so thankful to my husband and children for supporting me to accomplish a huge goal, I made a long time ago.
My Husband does help me around his career if I need to go to the doctor, he is fully licensed and helps me as needed around his shifts. He has worked at Mutual Materials since 1998, and rotates between early mornings or swing shift every quarter. My youngest daughter Monica helps me sanitize every afternoon after school. My oldest daughter is an emergency sub and full-time student at EOU.
We also have four special members to family, our chocolate lab, named Princess Leia, Shihtz/Lapso, named Teddy Bear and two cats named Simon & Sofia
